Jose Joaquín Sánchez Ríos (Cieza, Murcia 1988). Músico de formación autodidacta. El grueso de su trabajo lo desarrolla bajo el seudónimo La Josephine. Desde que comenzara la andadura del mismo allá por el año 2013, y hasta nuestros días, La Josephine mantiene un diálogo crítico con los referentes clásicos de la música a través de la experimentación en un plano estructural y estilístico en publicaciones como “Edificio Paraíso” (2013), “Songs Avoided in Throat” (2014), “D.M. Sessions: Vol I”(2016) y el recién publicado “Shelter” (2017).
Etiquetas ortodoxas como “Rock”, “Pop” o “IDM” pierden la rigidez conceptual que las caracteriza, trazándose nuevas combinaciones y fugas entre estos –y otros- estilos.
Todo esto tiene como elemento común subyacente un neoexpresionismo acústico fuertemente ligado a las capacidades y la potencia de la tecnología, a través de las cuales únicamente es posible esta formulación futurista del formato “One Man Band”.
